Welcome to PARIS GUIDED. We are thrilled to show you the best of Paris and its surrounding regions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a private walking or minivan tour with us. By booking our services, you agree to the following terms.

1. General Provisions

PARIS GUIDED provides private guided walking tours, minivan tours, and excursions to museums, historical sites, and regions in and around Paris. These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made directly through our website, via email, or through authorized third-party platforms.

2. Booking & Payment

• Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once full payment (or the agreed-upon deposit) has been received and a confirmation email has been sent by us.
• Tickets: Many museums and historical sites require advance ticketing. Any tickets purchased by us on your behalf are strictly personal and non-transferable.
• Pricing: All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. However, due to the nature of private scheduling and advance ticketing, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced:

• 10+ Days Before the Tour: Full refund (minus any non-refundable ticket costs).
• 3 to 9 Days Before the Tour: 50% refund of the service fee. Tickets remain non-refundable.
• Less than 72 Hours Before the Tour & No-Shows: 0% refund.
• Tickets: All tickets purchased by us on your behalf for museums, monuments, or special events are 100% non-refundable under all circumstances.

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to contact@parisguided.com. The timestamp of the email will determine the cancellation timeframe.

4. Punctuality & Meeting Points

• Meeting Point: Your confirmation email will clearly state your designated meeting point. 
• Tardiness: Out of respect for your guide and your itinerary, please arrive on time. For private tours, guides will wait up to 30 minutes. If you arrive late, your tour will still end at the originally scheduled time to avoid disrupting subsequent bookings.
• No-Show: Failure to arrive within 30 minutes of the start time without prior notification is considered a "No-Show," resulting in a 0% refund.

5. Unforseen Events

• Paris Guided is not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, transportation delays or cancellations, and civil unrest.
• If a major site (e.g., Versailles, the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay) closes unexpectedly due to strikes, we will actively work to provide a same-day alternative tour of equal value.
• If you decline the proposed alternative, Paris Guided will issue a 50% refund of your total booking cost (which accounts for the unrendered third-party services, such as museum entrance fees). The remaining 50% is retained to cover our core tour and guide fees. Alternatively, you may opt for a credit toward a future booking.

6. Transportation

For tours including private transportation in our Sedan or minivans:

• Safety: Under French law, all passengers must wear seatbelts at all times while the vehicle is in motion.
• Child Seats: If you are traveling with children who require a car seat under French law, you must inform us at the time of booking.
• Conduct: Smoking, eating, and drinking (other than water) are strictly prohibited inside the vehicles.

8. Inclusions & Exclusions

• Included in chauffeur-driven tours: All applicable taxes and insurance, fuel and vehicle maintenance, highway tolls and parking, plus the driver’s salary and expenses.
• Not included: Personal expenses, meals, gratuities (at your discretion), and entrance fees (unless explicitly stated).

9. Liability and Insurance

• Personal Belongings: You are fully responsible for your personal belongings. We are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items during walking tours, inside museums, or left inside our vehicles.
• Health and Safety: By booking, you certify that you are physically capable of participating in the selected tour. We are not liable for any personal injury, illness, or accident that occurs during the tour. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.
